Video Tapes Or Video Discs?

In 1980 video tapes had not been out for too long, yet already they were forecast to be replaced by video discs.

It never happened, video discs just never took off and VHS tapes were to here to stay for a good time longer. Great to see how technology looked over 40 years ago, how high tech it seemed at the time! The next incarnation of the video disc, the DVD did take off, big time.
