What does Photo Revivals do?

Photo Revivals helps you preserve, organise and enjoy your memories. We digitise photographs, slides, negatives, videos, cine film, audio and other old media, and can also turn your digital memories into photo books, slideshows and other finished creations.

How long will my order take?

Accepted Answer

Most orders are completed within 7-10 days from when we receive your original media. Larger orders of more than 20 tapes, or a few hundred photos, can take up to 14 days. We will provide a guideline as to how long your order will take once we have all the information about your requirements. If you have an urgent requirement, we will always do our best to help and prioritise your order.

What types of media can you digitise?

We digitise a wide range of old and existing media, including photographs, slides, negatives, video tapes, camcorder tapes, cine film, audio tapes and discs.

Where is Photo Revivals based?

Accepted Answer

Photo Revivals is based in Wetherby, West Yorkshire. We work with customers locally and also accept orders from across the UK. For digital photo and video work we can work with you wherever you are based in the world.

Question 5

How do I get my items to you?

Accepted Answer

You can bring your items to us in person or arrange to send them to us. Local collection and delivery may also be available depending on your location and the size of the order.

How much does digitisation cost?

Accepted Answer

The cost depends on what you have and how much needs to be digitised. We can provide a clear quotation once we know the type and quantity of your items.

Do you require payment up front?

Accepted Answer

No, we don't require any payment upfront. When we have completed all your conversions and know the final number of tapes, photos or other media, we will send you an invoice to pay online or by bank transfer. Once you pay the invoice, we will send your USB sticks, DVDs and cloud service links, and return your original media if requested.

How can I pay for my order?

When we send you an invoice, you can pay it directly using the link we send, with any credit or debit card, or via PayPal. You can also pay by bank transfer if you prefer.

How long does the process take?

Accepted Answer

Turnaround times depend on the type and volume of material and the current workload. We will give you an estimated timescale when you receive your quotation. If you have urgent requirements for whatever reason, we will always do our best to accommodate that, and in most cases we can.

Are my images and videos treated confidentially?

Accepted Answer

Only our technicians and processing staff will see your images and videos. We will not share or show them to any third parties, and we will not use any images on our websites or in our materials without your permission.

Question 11

Can I have my original tapes and photos returned?

Accepted Answer

If you wish, you can have all your original tapes and photos returned. For smaller orders, we add a £5 return postage charge if you want your tapes returned. We hold all items for four weeks after your order is completed to give you time to ensure you are happy with your new videos and comfortable with the cloud service or USB sticks. After that time, we will always contact you to see if you are happy for us to dispose of your old tapes.

Is the cost of sending your tapes and photos to us included in the price?

No, it is not. You will need to post your media to us. We always recommend using a tracked delivery service or Royal Mail Special Delivery.

Question 13

How does your cloud download service work?

Accepted Answer

Once your order is complete, we will send you a private link to your files in our Dropbox Business account. You can then download your new files as often as you like, watch them online as often as you like, and share the link we send with other friends and family as often as you like. You can copy them and create backups as often as you like. This link will remain valid for six months, giving you lots of time to share, download and back up your memories.

Can I ask about something I am not sure you can digitise?

Yes. If you have old photographs, tapes, films, recordings or other media and aren't sure what they are or whether they can be digitised, just get in touch. We can advise you before you send anything.
